Where to get a beard or haircut in Bangkok, Friday 3rd July 2015

Bangkok is a city where facial hair is a rarity, so like me, you are probably finding it difficult to find and trust someone to look after one of your proudest possessions.

Where to get a beard or haircut in Bangkok

You’ve googled ‘where to get a beard or haircut in Bangkok’ and read countless recommendations on forums and you are still relatively undecided on where to go and how much you should pay.

You’ve probably spent months growing the perfect beard and you dread the thought of your request of “just a trim” being misunderstood as “shave it all off”. I’ve heard countless stories of this happening with both beards and hair alike.

Wait no further, let me tell you where you can get a decent beard and / or haircut in Bangkok.

Whether you’re modelling a big and bushy beard, a goatee, chin straps or just a moustache, the barbers at ‘Never Say Cutz’ will cater for you every need. They specialise in hair cuts first, so if you’re just after a cut you’re in safe hands too.
I managed to get the best beard and hair cut of my life at this establishment. As long as your clear on what you want, they will deliver.

Never Say Cutz is a chain of barbers ran by a local, Thai, hip hop artist. They offer great attention to detail hair and beard cuts, for a very reasonable price.

They spent close to an hour and a half on my beard and hair combined (the hair not taking as long as it used to for obvious reasons) and it only cost me 450 THB. If you’re looking for just a haircut then expect to pay around 350 THB.

There are a number of these barbers dotted around Bangkok and my experience was with the shop located at 927, Soi 51, Sukhumvit. (see the end of this blog for the full shop list)

If you are now asking “how do I get to Never Say Cutz” then look no further. Follow these simple directions.

Hope on the nearest BTS (sky train) stop

Get on the Sukhumvit line and get off at the ‘Thong Lor’ stop

Exit the BTS and walk towards street ‘Soi 51’

You should see the barber shop on your right hand side, the walk is no more than 5 minutes. It’s number 927.

Here’s a map route to help you out.

I also recommend installing the app ‘Maps.Me’ and downloading the Thailand map, just in case you get lost or for further help travelling Thailand. This app is great, once you download a map using the Internet you can view it offline and track your location or make routes using your phones GPS for free. It’s been great for me.

Never Say Cutz barbers take bookings and drop ins, but be aware that they can get quite busy on weekends, so if you plan to just drop in, make sure you go Monday to Thursday to avoid a longer waiting time.

I hope you have a great beard or hair cut! Please feel free to leave me any feedback or comments regarding the route or of your experience. Even pictures of your cut are welcomed.
